Kodi for MAC
Free, open-source media player and entertainment hub for Mac: plays almost any audio or video format and builds a library with covers and fanart.
Kodi Overview
Kodi is a free and open-source media player and entertainment hub for your own digital media. It plays almost all popular audio and video formats, and it was designed for network playback, so you can stream your media from anywhere in the house or directly from the internet. Point Kodi at your media and it scans it and creates a personal library complete with box covers, descriptions and fanart.
Kodi works well as a standard media player on a computer, and it was also designed for a home theater PC: its interface and skinning engine feel natural from the couch with a remote control. It has playlist and slideshow functions, a weather forecast and many audio visualizations, and more can be added through add-ons. Kodi is a non-profit project run by the XBMC Foundation and built by volunteers, available in more than 70 languages, under the GPL-2.0-or-later license. There are separate downloads for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. Kodi's macOS build guide names OS X 10.14 or newer as its requirement. Kodi does not come with media of its own: it plays what you point it at.

CartCutCartCut is a video editor designed for motion effects and versatility. It was formerly called Nugget, and its GitHub repository still uses the name nugget-app. Alongside cut editing, it offers animation, sound mixing, text, external extensions and project files. It uses layer-based editing instead of traditional tracks, which makes it easier to apply several effects to a single asset.
